Vaux-Le-Vicomte Castle
In 1641,Nicolas Fouquet, a brilliant young parliamentarian then aged 26, acquired the domain of Vaux-le-Vicomte. Twenty years later, he transformed it into the unique masterpiece you can still admire nowadays. In 1653 Nicolas Fouquet becomes Superintendent of Finance. In August 17, 1661, he offered King Louis XIV a sumptuous reception at his castle. Promenade, comedy and finally enchanting fireworks… it stirred up jealousies. Indeed, victim of a conspiracy of Colbert and Louis XIV, Fouquet was finally arrested and condemned to banishment and then to life imprisonment by the king. During this tour, walk the footsteps of Nicolas Fouquet and discover his sad ending story due to the envy of Roi Soleil.

Château Of Chantilly
